First Look: The Big Bang the Musical – Actors Theatre of Indiana

Tonight I was privileged to get a preview night look at “The Big Bang the Musical” from Actors Theatre of Indiana. This marvelous romp of a show runs January 28-February 20th at The Studio Theatre in Carmel. Tickets at atistage.org.

The Big Bang is a delightfully frenetic romp. Two actors and an accompanist sing their way through the entirety of human history in exactly one hour and ten minutes from pre-history to the psychedelic 60s.

The preview audience was engaged and laughing throughout as our two primary protagonists delivered clever lines and managed dozens of costume changes using only everyday items from the apartment that was their sole set for the show.

I highly recommend this frantic farce to fill at least one of our otherwise rather dreary winter evenings here in Indiana.

Special thanks to Actors Theatre of Indiana for allowing me to come see their marvelous work! Want to more from this show? Visit the Indy Ghost Light archives!
